Get outdoors and have some fun in Worcester County’s Beach and Beyond!

Now that summer is finally upon us and we are getting out more and more, Worcester County wanted to offer some fun outdoor activities throughout the season! These are not just for locals, we invite our visitors to please participate and experience some new and exciting activities.

Pop Up Programs (PUP) will be offered for free! These one night programs will run on Tuesdays evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at different Worcester County parks. Starting July 7 through September 1, there will be different themed nights from water games, fishing and outdoor scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, and team sports, there will something for everyone in grades K-8th!

The Recreation Center will also be opening to the public very soon! Summer fitness classes are now available for registration. The offered programs are Body Shape, Early Bird Fitness, and Yoga.

A new outdoor program is Family Canoe on the River. This family program will teach families how to be safe on the water, technique, paddle instruction, and include a semi-guided trips on the river. Family Canoe will take place at the Pocomoke River Canoe Company. The program will be on Wednesdays, July 1 through 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
