Delmarva Birding Weekends are ready for you!

Posted June 22, 2020

July and August are great months for birding in Worcester County! Our coastal bays are teeming with nesting terns, skimmers, egrets, herons and pelicans, and shorebirds begin migrating south in mid-summer. The Bald Cypress swamps around Snow Hill and Pocomoke are home to dozens of species of breeding warblers, vireos, tanagers and flycatchers which can be discovered paddling or boating on the cool, dark waters of the Pocomoke River.

To view these amazing wildlife spectacles, join our friends at Delmarva Birding Weekends for guided Sunset Seabird Safaris behind Ocean City and Assateague Island. They will also customize a private birding tour for you and your family! You can also explore Worcester County's Top 10 birding hotspots on your own, or enjoy a guided tour with one of our tour boats or paddlesports outfitters.

Check out these videos for a virtual summer birding tour of Worcester County!

COVID-19 safety guidelines have been implemented so that you can enjoy our summer birds before they head south in the fall. For more information, please visit
